Senior Front-End Engineer
Remote (US)
Who we are:
Vizit is the Global Leader in Predictive Image Analytics. Vizit helps the world’s largest brands and retailers win the race for consumer attention through a patented AI-powered Visual Brand Performance Platform that enables teams, anywhere in the world, to measure, manage, and optimize their image effectiveness at every step of the consumer journey.
What you will do:
- Write high-performance production-ready front-end code. Our modern front-end stack includes TypeScript, React, and D3.
- Be integral to maintaining a high level of code quality on the FE team through leadership in technical design, code review and testing with Vitest and Playwright.
- Collaborate across our design, product, and engineering teams to inform UI/UX technical solutions and deliverable deadlines for our core React web application, Chrome extension, and upcoming greenfield products.
- Take on the implementation of large technical features independently: with an emphasis on performance and leaving code better than you found it.
- Help less senior FE engineers when applicable and level-up the collective FE engineering teams technical knowledge via design reviews.
Who you are (These are essential to success in this role):
- Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- 5+ years of professional experience as an engineer
- 5+ years working in React
- A deep understanding of HTML/CSS
- Prior experience on building performant front-end applications. Examples include: performance profiling, virtualization, caching, etc.
- A solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
- Prior experience with GraphQL
- Prior experience with front-end build systems (ex. Webpack, Vite, Snowpack, etc)
These are not required but are a plus:
- Eastern/Central time zone
- Prior experience with AWS including S3, API Gateway, AppSync, etc.
- Prior experience with other technologies/frameworks already used in our stack such as: D3/data visualization, Python, and Serverless Architecture.
